Royal Bank of Scotland B.C. is one of the oldest bowls clubs in the Beckenham/S.E. London area, having been founded in 1899. It is still located on the original site in Copers Cope Road.

Today there is a thriving Men's Section with 54 playing members, and a very successful Ladies Section with 24 members. There is also an extensive Social membership. The green is second to none in the locality, with excellent changing rooms and surrounds. Additionally, there is a new bar with catering facilities, lounges and TVs in the main Pavilion.

As our name implies, we were originally a bowls club within a large sports complex, with membership restricted to only Bank employees and pensioners. As time has gone on, however, and after many name changes - National Provincial Bank B.C., National Westminster Bank B.C. and the Royal Bank of Scotland B.C. we are now a fully open club and welcome men and ladies from all walks of life.

Both sections play in all their respective National and County competitions, and the men also run teams in the Private Clubs League, North West Kent (2 teams) and LX League. Additionally, they compete in all London & Southern Counties and B.B & D.B.A. events. Both sections also have a wide programme of friendly matches, some mixed, which are played both mid-week and at weekends.

New members will find a warm welcome, and both sections have qualified County coaches to help beginners.
